About the Author

Bernard Cornwell is a bestselling author of historical fiction. He has written over 50 novels, including the Sharpe series, the Saxon Tales series, and the Grail Quest series. Cornwell's novels have been translated into over 30 languages and have sold over 30 million copies worldwide.

Cornwell was born in London in 1944. He served in the British Army for five years before becoming a journalist. He began writing historical fiction in the early 1980s, and his first novel, Sharpe's Eagle, was published in 1981.
