About the Author

Frank McCourt is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Angela's Ashes and 'Tis. He was born in New York City in 1930 and moved to Ireland with his family when he was four years old. He returned to the United States in 1949 and worked as a teacher and a social worker before becoming a full-time writer. McCourt died in 2009 at the age of 78.
