About the Author

Judy Blume is an American writer known for her realistic and insightful portrayal of the challenges of growing up. Her novels have sold over 85 million copies worldwide and have been translated into more than 30 languages.

Blume was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, in 1938. She began writing at a young age, and her first novel, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret, was published in 1970. The novel was a huge success and helped to launch Blume's career.

Blume has written over 30 books for children and adults. Her books have won numerous awards, including the National Book Award for Children's Literature.

Blume is married to George Cooper, and they have three children. She lives in New York City.
