Toerags Tales Glasgow Street Poetry is a gritty and unflinching collection of poems that offer a raw and honest glimpse into the lives of some of Glasgow's most marginalized and misunderstood people.

Written by award-winning poet and playwright Alan Bissett, the poems in Toerags Tales explore the harsh realities of poverty, addiction, and homelessness. But they also celebrate the resilience and spirit of those who live on the fringes of society.

Bissett's poems are full of vivid imagery and authentic dialogue. He captures the voices of the people he writes about with compassion and empathy. The result is a powerful and moving collection of poems that will stay with you long after you finish reading them.

Toerags Tales is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the real Glasgow. It is a book that will open your eyes to the challenges faced by the city's most vulnerable people. But it is also a book that will inspire you with its message of hope and resilience.

Excerpt from Toerags Tales Glasgow Street Poetry

The streets are ma hame,

A cauld, hard bed,

But it's a' I hae.

I'm a toerag, a ned,

A waste o' space.

But I'm still human,

And I deserve a chance.
